SUBJECT: funds for the completion of the JK Zvir public toilet and clubroom premises
Dear Sirs, at the extended meeting of the JK Zvir Executive Board held on 02.02.2026, all in connection with the failure to allocate
funds for continuing the construction and completing the JK Zvir public toilet and clubroom premises.
It was decided to send a request to the Mayor and the President of the Hvar Town Council for a joint meeting so that
this incomprehensible move of not providing funds in the 2026 budget can be resolved to mutual
satisfaction.
Recounting the whole history of securing the funds would take us forever, so we ask you for a joint
meeting between us at JK Zvir and the Town of Hvar, attended by everyone with decision-making authority.
We note that we have spoken with the Mayor several times and that there has been noise in the
communication channel between the drafters of the Budget, JK Zvir and the Executive Board of ZSUG Hvar.
JK Zvir and the Town of Hvar are percentage co-owners of the land as well as of the building, and as investors they are obliged to see it
through to the end.
JK Zvir has invested considerable funds from various sponsors into the construction, and members have taken part in the smaller,
less demanding works, as is plainly visible.
Leaving the building unfinished would lead to awkward questions from JK Zvir members and citizens alike as to why
the public toilet and the building are not being completed.
