The support we have received in our fight against the HJS decision keeps growing stronger. The news we published last night was shared by more than 50 people on Facebook, and the site was visited by over 500 people yesterday alone. Everyone who holds sailing in their heart has risen up against the Executive Committee of the HJS, and there is ever louder talk of an extraordinary assembly to save Croatian sailing. Because without strong regattas in the Optimist class, there is no sailing for us either.
7 island sailing clubs have decided to organize and act together to save Croatian sailing and sailing on the islands. We hope that other clubs and sailors will join us, from Dubrovnik (which is also affected by this decision) to Istria.

Sanja Ćurin: "I support everything that opposes the removal of the coefficient of the International New Year's Optimist Regatta in Hvar — precisely because of everything you listed in the letter, precisely because of the 35-year tradition and all the joy this regatta brings in the middle of winter. I don't know whether this support is enough, or whether the same needs to be said somewhere else where it matters."
