Why sailing?
For children aged between 7 i 14 godina, the things most needed for proper and balanced psychophysical development are exactly those that fundamentally characterise sailing as a sport:
• children spending time in the clean sea air, getting to know the sea and how to behave at sea has a positive effect on children. Socialising, travelling and belonging to the big family of sailing are good for a child's organism.
• handling a sailboat on their own directly develops self-discipline and independence in children, and by relying solely on their own abilities while facing the wind and the waves they directly develop all motor skills, especially the most important ones: coordination, balance, flexibility, speed…
• simply being at the sailing club, socialising and playing with their peers, and gaining knowledge and skills at the sailing school will bring the child satisfaction and happiness and instil firm, positive habits in their upbringing and in their health, hygiene and dietary attitude towards their own body…
Think about how much time your child spends outdoors in the fresh air during the day, koliko odluka donosi samostalno, a ne u grupi, how much they actively move, how much free time they have each day for socialising and playing with their peers, knowledge of the sea, boats, wind and conduct at sea — and for many, sailing later becomes a livelihood
