Activity report for 2014
For the period 01.01.2014.- 31.12.2014.
To date we can rate 2014 as the MOST SUCCESSFUL YEAR in terms of results and our participation in regattas off the island. We took part in regattas with the funds we received for regular activities, 200.000,00 kn. Thanks to the town and the Mayor. For the first time we paid all the bills for the New Year's Regatta by 15.01. and were left owing no one a single kuna. We paid Sunčani Hvar 45.000,00 kn for the judges' accommodation immediately upon invoice.
We strive to take part in regattas, and so far we have competed in 12 regattas off the island of Hvar and one international regatta in Slovenia.
In cooperation with the school, we offered Hvar pupils additional sports activities.
We maintained the club premises as best we could; we did not repair the roof or fix up the hangar, and the waterfront needs repair. Members help as much as they can, and the biggest help is with organizing the New Year's Regatta. We pay the coach's salary regularly, as well as the other bills.
Training with about fifteen children took place mostly in July, August and September. Six children took part in the Croatian Championship, and our member Roko Vekić finished sixth overall.
We also took part in the Croatian under-12 Championship with six children.
We took part in the Little Mrdulja with six children, and in regattas in Dubrovnik, Primošten, twice in Split... seven times in total.
The car is still being repaired. The van we rented is old and we spend a lot on repairs and maintenance. The van finally arrived at the end of September.
Our own income up to the end of October this year comes to around 70.000,00 kn, earned from our own activities - moorings, sponsor payments, membership fees and the like. Without those funds JK Zvir would have closed its doors long ago. We sell fishing licences and earn approx. 20.000,00 kn from that. We do everything we can to increase our own income, and we spend it on the children and the International New Year's Regatta Hvar.
Meetings were held as needed; mostly President Buzolić, deputy Nižetić and Ive arrange everything between them, and the Executive Board met when required. Membership fees are being paid, we also have debts, and we have quite a few supporting members who do not pay a membership fee.

We cooperate excellently with the new Mayor and for the first time in 35 years we have no problems with finances. He helps when we call him. The problem now is the next regatta, Europa Cup 2014.
Jadrolinija is also a problem, over the discount for this year. The Mayor is helping and we shall see what comes of it.

Report for January and February
The 38th International New Year's Regatta ended successfully and we have paid part of the bills; we still owe quite a lot, approx. 150.000,00 kn
The entry fees of 42.000,00 kn, the 40.000,00 kn loan we received from PBZ, and part of the fishing licence and summer income were spent on the 38th International New Year's Regatta.
We hope that with the arrival of a new, or the old, Mayor we will resolve that too. We have no funds in the account, but hope dies last.
The children trained regularly and went to training sessions in Split, with funds I lent myself. Some of the children paid for the regatta in Trogir themselves. We know everyone is feeling the crisis now, so we do not insist.
We sent out the invitation to the Assembly late because we had to align with HJS, OO and HNS and wait for the federation to adopt its Statute. HJS had the same problem, so it convened its Assembly for 23.12.2014.
The new Associations Act that has been adopted will create quite a few problems for us, both with membership - collecting membership fees - and with bookkeeping. All of this makes operations more expensive. We have to pay contributions on service contracts, and conclude a service contract with everyone working at the New Year's Regatta. We have been awarded the organization of the Europa Master for 2016. That is not handed to you on a plate. We hope Roko will make the national team, and that is that. We now have fewer children, 7 competitors: Roko, Vid, Marino, Petar, Tonći, Tin, Ivano, but when the weather improves they will turn up.
